Adam Tenenbaum a.k.a. Nectar is a multi-faceted artist in the truest sense.
A lifelong guitarist, Adam is also a vocalist and plays bass, percussion, and keys. Initially drawn to electronic music via The Orb and old DJ Dan tapes (as well as being a devoted fan of the Grateful Dead), Adam began attending the infamous Wicked parties in the early nineties and become immersed in the dark, psychedelic, dubby, funky-tech-disco excursions of DJ's Garth, Jeno, and Markie."
Nectar" started as a combo of various freaks performing a sort of live, electronic, textural, improvisational, performance art, complete with DJ's, didgeridoo, fire breathers, electronic drums, and Adam's unique, psychedelic approach to guitar. Eventually, Adam started to record records as Nectar by himself and with the occasional collaboration with various friends (such as his brother Keith on drums and with DJ Sean Kamano as Succulent).
Nectar's original mix starts things off with a gritty, electro-flavored groove and ultra-grimy bass line. The track is driven by the soulful vocal, which gives it a mysterious, dubby feel. A choppy synth line and layered high percussion bring it to the next level, eventually smoothing out into a funky, melodic outro. This one's guaranteed to heat things up on the dance floor.
