Hello friends,
A soggy Seattle greetings to you all! It's totally winter outside, and almost time for the American holiday season to kick off it's annual exercise in excessive consumerism. However, as the temperatures continue to drop and the days grow even shorter, there's always plenty of fun to get you out of the house and out in the community. You just have to know how to look for it, and that's what we are here to help you with.

Before we get into the goods of this email, we want to thank every one of you that voted in the recent elections. Here in Seattle/King county, we're overwhelmed with just how well all the results turned out to be and look forward to some much needed changes in our local politics. However, we also want to remind everyone that democracy is a continuous process, and we must stay informed and active if we want to hold our elected officials accountable for their campaign promises.

But enough about politics...
